Masdaf is a Turkish manufacturer of pumping equipment that has been operating in the sector since 1977. It has 52,000 m² of production space, a product range of over 20,000 items, and exports to more than 100 countries. The company is represented globally by over 60 partners and in Turkey by 12 specialist dealers. Steiner Ukraine supplies Masdaf pumps in Ukraine, providing selection, servicing and the supply of spare parts.
The manufacturer divides its work into six areas.
Building services systems: heating and cooling pumps, pressure-boosting units and control systems compatible with the facility’s automation system. Industrial processes: process and transfer pumps, equipment for thermal oils, hot water and steam, and pumps for chemically aggressive media. Municipal infrastructure: drainage and lift pumps, available in corrosion-resistant versions. Shipbuilding: pumps with stainless steel and bronze casings, compact and modular. Fire-extinguishing systems: pumps designed to NFPA and UL/FM standards. OEM sector: compact circulation and transfer pumps for integration into other manufacturers’ products.
The catalogue features 33 series across eight categories.
Final suction. NM — basic series in accordance with EN 733, flow rate up to 3,500 m³/h. NMM — a monoblock version of the same standard. NMP — a stainless steel sheet housing. NME — heavy-duty operation, up to 350 °C, with ATEX certification. KYP — for hot heat transfer fluids, without external cooling.
Circular and linear. ModulA Red — wet rotor, EEI ≤ 0.17. ModulA Blue — for hot water supply. ModulA-D — dual-unit version. INM — dry-run impeller, head up to 105 m. GenIO INM — the same applies to the frequency converter on the motor. INMD — dual with redundancy. CSV — double-ended suction, up to 2,200 m³/h.
Multi-stage. Hexa (stainless steel), KME (horizontal type), KMEV (vertical type), KMU (for low flow rates), OMK (40 bar), OMKV (with a head of up to 400 m).
With a separate housing. SPLT — double-suction with a split casing.
Firefighters. ENM for Fi-Fi systems, YNM NFPA in accordance with NFPA 20, YNM UL/FM with end-suction, YPH, YPSP NFPA and YPSP UL/FM with a split casing.
Submersible. ENDURO and EnduroLite for drainage.
Self-priming. MiniUKM and UKMS.
Drainage. MDP, PS/PSH, PSP.
The size ranges for the final suction stage are dual, which ensures interchangeability when replacing equipment. The NM and NMM series are manufactured in accordance with EN 733 and DIN 24255, whilst the KYP and NME series are manufactured in accordance with ISO 2858 and DIN 24256. A pump within its own series can be replaced with an equivalent model from another manufacturer without the need to modify the pipework; this is not possible between series.
The flanges in the end-suction and in-line series are manufactured in accordance with EN 1092-2 and DIN 2533. The impellers are dynamically balanced in accordance with ISO 21940-11.
The fire-fighting series are designed in accordance with NFPA 20 and UL/FM requirements. The NME series is ATEX-certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The circulation and centrifugal series are covered by the Ecodesign Directive: for INM in-line pumps, the minimum efficiency index (MVE) is ≥ 0.4, and for ModulA circulation pumps, the energy efficiency index (EEI) is ≤ 0.17.
The selection is determined by four conditions, in that order.
Environment: water, heat transfer fluid, effluent or chemically aggressive liquids. This rules out certain materials and immediately narrows the choice down to one or two categories. Temperature: the standard series operate up to 120 °C, the NME series up to 350 °C, whilst the KYP series is designed for thermal oils. Area: if the premises are classified as potentially explosive, an ATEX-compliant version is required. Operating point: flow rate and head must be calculated taking into account the actual resistance of the system, rather than with a safety margin.
Head margin is the most common mistake. A pump that is oversized operates to the left of its point of highest efficiency: it consumes more energy, puts greater strain on the bearings and seals, and requires repairs sooner. To assess the actual losses in the existing system, it helps to Energy audit of pumping stations.
Steiner Ukraine provides equipment selection, supply, servicing and the supply of spare parts for Masdaf pumps. The NM, NMM and INM series are based on common components within each series, so the spare parts range overlaps across several model sizes, making it easier to manage stock.
The full catalogue of pumping equipment can be found in the section industrial pumps and hydraulic systems. Steiner Ukraine has been operating in the industrial equipment market since 2006.
Where are Masdaf pumps manufactured?
In Turkey. The company has been operating in the pumping industry since 1977, with production facilities covering 52,000 m².
How many episodes of *Masdaf* are available in Ukraine?
The Steiner Ukraine catalogue features 33 series: end-suction, circulation and in-line, multistage, split-case, fire-fighting, submersible, self-priming and drainage pumps.
Is it possible to replace a pump from another manufacturer with a Masdaf pump without modifying the pipework?
This is the case if the existing pump is manufactured to the same sizing standard. The NM and NMM series comply with EN 733 and DIN 24255, whilst the KYP and NME series comply with ISO 2858 and DIN 24256. Replacement within the same standard does not require any changes to the pipework or foundation; however, dimensions do not correspond between different standards.
Does Masdaf offer an explosion-proof version?
Yes. The NME series is ATEX-certified, and the manufacturer issues a separate certificate for end-suction centrifugal pumps.
Which Masdaf pump should I choose for my heating system?
For heads of up to 18 m, the ModulA Red wet-rotor circulation pump is sufficient. For head requirements beyond this range, INM or GenIO INM dry-rotor in-line pumps with a head of up to 105 metres are used. If any interruption to the circuit is unacceptable, the INMD twin-pump configuration with redundancy is employed.
Which Masdaf pumps are designed for hot heat transfer fluids?
The KYP series is designed for thermal oil circuits and features a design that does not require external cooling. The NME series is used for processes with temperatures up to 350 °C.
Are Masdaf fire pumps certified?
The series are designed in accordance with NFPA 20 and UL/FM requirements. The specific set of documentation to be supplied will be confirmed upon order.
Are spare parts for Masdaf pumps available in Ukraine?
Yes. Steiner Ukraine supplies spare parts for the models listed in the catalogue.
