Industrial pumps

Frequently asked questions about industrial pumps

According to which parameters is an industrial pump selected?

The key input data are: the type of medium (viscosity, temperature, abrasiveness, chemical aggressiveness, the presence of solid inclusions), the required capacity, head, operating regime and the requirements for the materials of the wetted parts. Without these data a correct selection is impossible.

When is a positive displacement pump needed, and when a centrifugal one?

Centrifugal pumps are efficient on low-viscosity media and at high capacities. Positive displacement pumps (screw, lobe, gear, peristaltic, diaphragm) work with viscous, shear-sensitive and non-homogeneous media and provide a stable capacity regardless of the head.

Which pumps are suitable for abrasive and slurry media?

For such tasks slurry pumps, split-casing pumps, peristaltic and diaphragm pumps are used. Service life is determined by the material of the wetted parts and by flow velocities, so the selection is made with a margin for wear.

Do you supply spare parts and carry out repairs?

Yes. Spare parts for pumps are a separate area of our business: mechanical seals, impellers, stators and rotors, diaphragms, hoses. We also carry out diagnostics and repairs with a visit to the site.

Is it possible to order a complete pumping station?

Yes, we supply not only pumps but also ready pumping stations and systems: with pipework, valves, frequency control and a control cabinet, assembled for the customer’s specific task.
