CHEMSPIN ES twin screw pump

CHEMSPIN ES — a version of the industrial CHEMSPIN twin screw pump with extended casing and feed screws. It is designed for highly viscous media up to 1,000,000 mPa·s, including media that do not flow by gravity. Flow rate up to 70 m³/h, differential pressure up to 25 bar.

How does CHEMSPIN ES feed a product that does not flow?

The feed screws are extended towards the inlet. They draw the product from below the inlet port like a screw feeder and deliver it into the pumping chamber.

In many cases no external feeder is needed. Product feed is gentle and solids are permitted.

The pump performs three tasks: feeding, pumping and flushing. The manufacturer positions ES as an alternative to other pump technologies for viscous media.

When to choose CHEMSPIN ES instead of the base CHEMSPIN?

When the medium does not enter the pump by gravity and a feeder would otherwise be needed upstream. For flowable media the base CHEMSPIN with flow rates up to 300 m³/h is sufficient.

• viscosity and consistency of the medium at operating temperature;
• where the product comes from — reactor bottom, tank, drum;
• solids size;
• flow rate and pressure downstream of the pump;
• need for an ATEX version.
