The LIVERANI ALL IN ONE pump is a self-priming impeller pump comprising three devices in a single unit: a frequency converter, a magnetic flow meter and a touchscreen control panel. The manufacturer is LIVERANI s.r.l. (Via De’ Brozzi 94, 48022 Lugo, Province of Ravenna, Italy). The company was founded in the 1950s. The equipment is manufactured in accordance with CE standards.
The hydraulic components are the same as in the rest of the product range: a flexible elastomer impeller and a housing made from AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel. What sets this series apart is not its hydraulics, but the fact that the pump, drive, metering and control systems are integrated into a single unit.
| Component | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Frequency converter | smooth adjustment of speed and feed rate |
| Magnetic flow meter | measurement and recording of the volume pumped |
| Touchscreen control panel | setting the operating mode and displaying readings |
| Impeller hydraulics | self-priming, gentle pumping |
Normally, these three components are installed separately on site: the pump, the cabinet containing the inverter, the flow meter on the pipeline, and the control panel. Here, everything is supplied as a single unit, factory-assembled.

The manufacturer provides these figures for the entire LIVERANI range of impeller pumps. The range as a whole covers flow rates from 0 to 72,000 litres per hour.
An electromagnetic flowmeter measures flow rate without any moving parts in the flow. It has no impeller, gears or turbine, so it does not create any additional resistance, is not subject to wear from abrasive substances and does not affect the structure of the product.
For an impeller pump, this is a logical addition. The flow rate of such a pump is proportional to the speed, but the actual volume depends on the viscosity, temperature and condition of the impeller. The flow meter displays the actual volume pumped, rather than the calculated volume.
Practical applications include transferring a batch from one container to another whilst recording the volume, dosing a specified quantity into a tank, and recording quantities when receiving or dispatching raw materials. In winemaking, this involves batch-by-batch accounting; in food production, it involves controlling the dosage specified in the recipe.
The manufacturer states that an app is available for flow meters up to a certain diameter: once the app is installed, you can view the meter reading and temperature on your smartphone.
A frequency converter adjusts the pump’s speed and, consequently, its flow rate. Throttling at the discharge end is not suitable for an impeller pump: it does not regulate the flow rate correctly and puts a strain on the seals. Speed control is the correct method.
The touch-screen panel is located on the unit itself. The operator selects the operating mode and can view the readings on the unit itself, without the need for a separate control panel.
The ‘converter plus flow meter plus control panel’ combination offers something that other series in the range do not: the ability not only to set the speed but also to monitor the volume pumped, all from a single location.
According to the manufacturer’s technical catalogue, the LIVERANI range of impeller pumps is based on six hydraulic sizes.
| Size | Accession | Flow rate, max. |
|---|---|---|
| MICRO 3/8″ F | 3/8″ BSP-F | 480 litres per hour |
| MINI 3/4″ | 3/4″ BSP-M | 1,620 litres per hour |
| MIDEX 1″1/4 | 1″1/4 BSP-M | 5,760 litres per hour |
| MINOR 40 | as per the specification | 43,800 litres per hour |
| MAJOR 60 | as per the specification | 43,800 litres per hour |
| MAXI 80 | as per the specification | 72,000 litres per hour |
The specific list of standard sizes available in the ALL IN ONE version is to be agreed with the manufacturer at the time of ordering.
The hydraulics are the same across all nine series. The differences lie in the drive system and the trim levels.
| The series | Drive and equipment |
|---|---|
| SP | shaft without a drive, to fit the customer’s motor |
| MID | hydraulic orbital motor |
| EP | coaxial drive, six sizes |
| GR | belt drive, mounted on a base or trolley |
| RID | geared motor |
| VA / INV | mechanical variator or frequency converter |
| INV BS | a monoblock with a converter and a panel on the housing |
| MINIVERTER | a monoblock with a converter in the terminal box |
| ALL IN ONE | converter, magnetic flow meter and touch panel |
ALL IN ONE — the only series in the range with built-in flow metering. If you only need flow control without metering, the INV BS or MINIVERTER will suffice. If you need metering, go for the ALL IN ONE.
Seven pieces of information are required for selection: the required flow rate in litres per hour, the head or pipeline resistance in metres, the name of the product, its viscosity and temperature, the presence and size of any solid particles, the type and size of the connection, and the steel grade of the casing.
It is specified separately what the metering is required for: batch recording, volumetric dosing or raw material reception. The diameter of the flow meter and the panel settings depend on this. Another consideration is the availability of a power supply on site.
Steiner Ukraine supplies LIVERANI equipment together with design calculations, complete sets and spare parts, including impellers made from various elastomers. The scope is described in the section services. Industrial pumps — in the section industrial pumps, equipment for food production — in in a separate section. Sector-specific recruitment — in sector-specific solutions. The technical specifications of the original source are published at the LIVERANI website.
What does the name ‘ALL IN ONE’ mean?
The pump, frequency converter, magnetic flow meter and touchscreen control panel are all integrated into a single unit. There is no need for a separate control cabinet or a flow meter on the pipework.
Why does a pump need a flow meter?
The flow rate of an impeller pump is proportional to the speed, but the actual volume depends on the viscosity, temperature and condition of the impeller. The flow meter indicates the actual volume pumped.
Why a magnetic flow meter, specifically?
It has no moving parts within the flow. It does not create any additional resistance, is not subject to wear from abrasives and does not affect the structure of the product.
Can you view the readings on a smartphone?
The manufacturer states that, for flow meters up to a certain diameter, an app is available which displays the meter reading and temperature on a smartphone. Terms and conditions are specified at the time of ordering.
Can the flow be adjusted?
Yes, via the frequency converter using the touch panel on the unit’s housing.
Is the pump suitable for products containing solid particles?
Yes. The manufacturer describes the purpose of this product range as the transfer of delicate, fragile and viscous liquids, including those containing suspended solids.
Is the pump self-priming?
Yes, up to 6 m. The pump primes the suction line automatically, without the need for manual priming.
Is it safe to run the pump dry?
Prolonged operation without fluid in the housing is not permitted. The flexible blades come into contact with the housing wall and are damaged by dry friction.
What are the maximum viscosity and temperature?
Up to 50,000 cP and up to +100 °C for the LIVERANI range of impeller pumps.
How much does the LIVERANI ALL IN ONE pump cost?
The price depends on the size of the hydraulic system, the diameter of the flow meter, the drive power, the steel grade of the housing, the material of the impeller and the type of connection. Please send us the flow rate, the product and the metering requirements — we will prepare a quotation.
