The presence of foreign inclusions in the product, the filling level and the weight, the presence and position of the cap, the integrity and leak-tightness of the packaging, the presence, position and legibility of the label, the code and the date, the completeness of the group packaging. Rejects are removed from the flow automatically.

Metal detectors, X-ray inspection systems, machine vision with cameras, checkweighers for in-line weight control, filling level detectors, leak-tightness control systems. Most often a combination of several solutions works on the line at different points.

A metal detector is cheaper and reliably finds metal inclusions, but it does not see glass, stone or bone and works worse on products with high conductivity. X-ray finds a wide range of dense foreign bodies and additionally checks integrity and completeness, but it is more expensive. The choice is determined by the risks of your product and by the requirements of the buyers.

The rejector drops the unit into a closed bin with verification of the fact of removal — so that a reject physically cannot return into the flow. Data on the number of and the reasons for rejections are accumulated and can be transferred to the production accounting system for analysis.

Yes, inspection systems are a typical requirement of food safety audits. A procedure for periodic checking with test samples, logbooks, sensitivity settings for the specific product and the manufacturer's documentation are required. We hand over the equipment together with the documents and train the personnel to work according to the regulations.
