CHEMSPIN ATEX twin screw pump
CHEMSPIN ATEX — a version of the CHEMSPIN twin screw pump for ATEX hazardous zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. Depending on the medium temperature, temperature classes T2–T4 are achieved. Flow rate up to 300 m³/h, differential pressure up to 35 bar.
Which measures make up the CHEMSPIN ATEX explosion protection?
- flameproof motors for speed control;
- surface temperature monitoring by sensors on the pump casing and bearing bracket;
- monitored flushing system for double mechanical seals — maintains seal temperature;
- monitoring of single mechanical seals to prevent dry running;
- breakthrough-proof couplings or couplings in an oil bath for spark suppression;
- non-sparking guards for base-frame units;
- earthing terminals for potential equalisation.
The screws touch neither each other nor the casing, so there is no metal-to-metal friction in the pumping chamber. Dry-run safe units are fitted with appropriate shaft seals.
