REDA – Pure Brine brine filtration

REDA Pure Brine brine filtration reduces bacteria and moulds in cheese brine. The unit cleans the brine continuously, unlike periodic cleaning or regeneration by pasteurisation.

How does Pure Brine brine filtration work?

The brine is cleaned in-line and returned to the tank. Bacteria and moulds leave with the concentrate, with minimal concentrate losses.

The unit uses microfiltration on spiral-wound membranes. The pressure is selected to achieve the required concentration ratio and permeate flow for the production task.

Why does brine microfiltration not change its composition?

Microfiltration does not change the pH of the brine. Therefore, the brine does not need to be corrected after cleaning.

Process parameters are optimised to reduce investment and operating costs. Separate brine regeneration cycles by pasteurisation are not needed: the brine is cleaned by membranes directly in the line.
