Milk standardisation on REDA RTM series units is performed automatically in-line, for milk and cream simultaneously. Accuracy — ±0.01% fat for milk and ±0.2% for cream.
Steiner Ukraine is the REDA distributor in Ukraine. The common principles of REDA equipment, including UHT configurations and separator design, are described on the page REDA.
Why is in-line milk standardisation better than mixing in a tank?
In the traditional method, fat content is adjusted by mixing directly in tanks. This takes time and increases pumping and control costs.
It is difficult to reach an exact cream concentration this way, and residues remain at the end of the process. An in-line standardiser eliminates these problems.
How does milk standardisation on RTM work?
RTM continuously measures the fat content of incoming milk. The unit then calculates the milk and cream flows and adjusts the automatic valves accordingly.
Parameters can be changed during operation without stopping the process.

How to integrate milk standardisation into a line?
The standardiser works together with a cream separator and in one line with the pasteuriser. It can be installed in both new and existing lines.
RTM also upgrades already installed cream separators. After standardisation, milk goes to the fresh milk pasteuriser or UHT plant.
What does automatic standardisation give?
- High fat accuracy.
- Higher processing volume.
- Wider range of products with different fat contents.
- Energy and time savings.
Supply and service by Steiner Ukraine
We select the standardiser for the product, capacity and line configuration. We also supply REDA equipment and carry out installation, commissioning and service in Ukraine. The price is quoted on request after the technical specification is agreed.
FAQ
What is the accuracy of RTM standardisation?
±0.01% fat for milk and ±0.2% for cream.
How does RTV differ from RTM?
RTV works on the same principle, but the operator enters the raw milk fat content and the unit capacity manually on the HMI.
Can a standardiser be added to an existing separator?
Yes. RTM is installed in existing lines and used to upgrade cream separators.
