The MAK ROTARY labelling machine is a Makro Labelling rotary (carousel) machine for applying self-adhesive labels to bottles, cans and other containers. The series covers outputs from 3,500 to 55,000 bottles per hour and comes in three versions: up to 5 fixed modules, up to 5 removable modules and up to 10 removable modules. Steiner Ukraine supplies the MAK ROTARY labelling machine, selects the model for the filling line output and carries out installation and service.
How does the MAK ROTARY labelling machine work?
Containers enter the carousel and are held on rotating plates. As the carousel turns, labelling stations arranged around its perimeter apply self-adhesive labels. Depending on the model, plate rotation is controlled mechanically or electronically, which allows the label to be positioned relative to the container shape or a mark on it. The machine is operated from a touch panel.
Which versions does the MAK ROTARY labelling machine come in?
MAK ROTARY with up to 5 fixed modules
A compact version for plants that do not need high output. The door enclosure is mounted directly on the machine frame, which reduces the footprint. Models MAK-01, MAK-02, MAK-03.
MAK ROTARY with up to 5 removable modules
The same size as the fixed-module version, but the labelling stations can be fixed or removable. A removable module is connected and disconnected via the touch panel. This simplifies maintenance and changes of product type. Models MAK-1, MAK-2, MAK-3.
MAK ROTARY with up to 10 removable modules
A version for medium and large plants with outputs up to 55,000 bph. The large-diameter carousel leaves room for pre-unwinders that allow production to continue during reel changes (non-stop system). Models MAK-4 – MAK-8.

Which labelling stations are fitted to MAK ROTARY?
- SLIM 50 — up to 50 m/min, reel diameter up to 300 mm. For medium and low outputs.
- SLIM 85 — up to 85 m/min, reel diameter up to 400 mm.
- SLIM 100 — reel diameter up to 400 mm, for medium- and high-output models.
- MAK AHS2 — patented module: up to 100 m/min at a label pitch of 20 mm, reel diameter up to 400 mm. Fitted to models MAK-4 – MAK-8.
SLIM 50 and SLIM 85 stations offer quick reel changes and low maintenance. Station compatibility with a specific model is determined when the configuration is selected.
Which options does the MAK ROTARY labelling machine have?
- Follower optical container centring and Raptor orientation system;
- Alice label inspection system with automatic application correction;
- universal starwheels and rejection systems;
- label smoothing grippers;
- container infeed and outfeed configurations, container holders (puck);
- pressurisation of empty containers;
- automatic axis adjustment and marker holder.
How to choose a MAK ROTARY labelling machine model?
The model is chosen by filling line output and the number of labels per container. For up to 24,000 bph and up to five stations, MAK-01 – MAK-03 or MAK-1 – MAK-3 are suitable. Removable modules make sense if the label type or labelling technology is changed regularly on the machine. For outputs above 24,000 bph, more stations or non-stop operation during reel changes, MAK-4 – MAK-8 are used.
Frequently asked questions about MAK ROTARY
What is the maximum output of models MAK-6 – MAK-8?
Up to 55,000 bph for models MAK-6, MAK-7 and MAK-8, according to the manufacturer. Actual output depends on the container and the number of labels.
Can self-adhesive labels be combined with other technologies?
Yes. For this, use Makro COMBINED combined labelling machines.
Is there a linear alternative for small volumes?
Yes, the linear machine MAK LINE with an output of 2,000 – 6,000 bph.
How much does the MAK ROTARY labelling machine cost?
The price is calculated on request and depends on the model, number of stations, options and format parts. Send the container and label specifications and the required output for a quotation.
