Industries: Food, Beverages, Cosmetics, Household chemicals, Pharmaceuticals

Makro Labelling labelling machines are rotary and linear machines made by the Italian manufacturer Makro Labelling S.r.l. for applying labels to bottles, cans and other containers. Steiner Ukraine supplies Makro Labelling labelling machines for self-adhesive labels, selects the configuration for the container and filling line output, and carries out installation, commissioning and service.

Who manufactures Makro Labelling labelling machines?

The manufacturer is Makro Labelling S.r.l., founded in 2009. Production and the head office are located in Goito (province of Mantua, Italy). Since 2023 the company has been part of the Sidel Group, retaining its autonomy and its own headquarters in Goito.

Makro Labelling builds modular labelling machines with outputs from 2,000 to 55,000 bottles per hour, depending on the model and configuration. The in-house R&D department develops labelling modules and machine vision systems; some of the solutions are patented.

Which labelling technologies does Makro Labelling use?

The manufacturer builds machines for five labelling technologies:

  • self-adhesive labels;
  • cold glue;
  • hot melt;
  • roll-fed film labels;
  • combined machines, in which modules of different technologies operate on one carousel.

The Steiner Ukraine catalogue covers Makro Labelling labelling machines for self-adhesive labels.

Which Makro Labelling machines for self-adhesive labels can be ordered?

The series Machine type Output, bph Labelling stations
MAK ROTARY, up to 5 fixed modules rotary 3,500 – 24,000 1–5
MAK ROTARY, up to 5 removable modules rotary 3,500 – 24,000 1–5
MAK ROTARY, up to 10 removable modules rotary 10,000 – 55,000 1–10
MAK LINE linear 2,000 – 6,000 1–2
COMBINED rotary, combined depends on configuration modules of different technologies

Data are given according to the manufacturer's official materials. Actual output depends on the container format, the number of labels per unit and the machine configuration.

What is the MAK AHS2 self-adhesive module?

MAK AHS2 is a patented Makro Labelling self-adhesive labelling module. Its backing paper delivery system doubles the distance the label travels on the acceleration ramp, so the module runs at a linear speed of 100 m/min with a label pitch of 20 mm. The label reel has its own drive with a rubber-coated roller that pulls the backing paper directly. This reduces the load on the pulling motor and keeps its speed stable during operation.

Common features of the self-adhesive stations: AISI 304 stainless steel electrical cabinet with IP55 protection, a separate station control panel, AISI 304 stainless steel trolley, manual or automatic axis adjustment.

Which control systems are fitted to Makro Labelling labelling machines?

The manufacturer develops its centring and control systems in-house. They are optional and are operated from the machine's single touch panel:

  • Follower — a patented optical system that centres the container relative to a mark or feature on the container.
  • Raptor — a machine vision system that orients the container before labelling. One camera handles up to 25,000 bph, two cameras up to 50,000 bph. At format changeover only the camera height changes, and it is set by the recipe.
  • Alice — a label inspection system with automatic correction of application parameters. It checks label position and tilt, wrinkles, bubbles, tears, barcodes, 2D codes and text (OCR/OCV).
  • Alice 360 — a version of Alice in which one camera captures the full circumference of the container.

Which industries are Makro Labelling labelling machines suitable for?

The manufacturer supplies equipment for the following industries: food, beverages (water, juices, carbonated drinks), beer, wine, oil and vinegar, home and personal care, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The machines handle glass, PET and other containers of different shapes, including asymmetric ones.

Frequently asked questions about Makro Labelling labelling machines

How many labels can be applied to one bottle?

Makro Labelling rotary machines apply up to five labels per container; the MAK LINE linear machine applies up to two or three elements.

Can a labelling station be added later?

Yes, on MAK ROTARY machines with removable modules. Stations are connected and disconnected via the touch panel; the number of stations is limited by the machine model.

How much does a Makro Labelling labelling machine cost?

The price is calculated individually. It depends on the model, number of stations, labelling technology, control systems and the set of format parts.

Who carries out installation and service in Ukraine?

Steiner Ukraine carries out installation, commissioning, service and spare parts supply for the equipment it supplies.

How to order a Makro Labelling labelling machine?

Send a quotation request with the container specifications (material, shape, volume), the type and number of labels and the required line output. Steiner Ukraine technical specialists will prepare an offer with the machine configuration. Manufacturer's official website: makrolabelling.com.
