Dellmeco DME Hygienic Diaphragm Pump is an electro-mechanical double diaphragm pump with an AISI 316L stainless steel housing and food-grade connections. Dellmeco DME Hygienic diaphragm pump: which connection to choose?
As standard, the pump has DIN 11851 threaded connections. On request, the manufacturer fits Tri-Clamp to DIN 32676, SMS 1145, RJT, JIS or ANSI. The connection type is chosen to match the line piping so that no adapters are needed.

Flow rates are given at a 50 Hz mains frequency. The model number corresponds to the connection size, so the DME 40 H delivers 65 l/min, not 183 l/min like the DME 40 in other series.
Dellmeco DME Hygienic diaphragm pump: materials and temperature
- housing: AISI 316L;
- diaphragms: NBR, EPDM, TFM or TFM/PFA;
- valve balls: NBR, EPDM, PTFE or AISI 316;
- clamp seals: silicone, PTFE, EPDM or NBR;
- product temperature with NBR or EPDM diaphragms: up to 70 °C, briefly up to 80 °C;
- with TFM/PTFE diaphragms: up to 110 °C, briefly up to 120 °C.
The diaphragms have a metal core and move with a constant stroke, driven by an electric motor through a crank. No compressed air is needed; discharge pressure is up to 6 bar. Flow is controlled by a frequency inverter within 70–140% of the rated value.

The manufacturer lists the food and beverage industry among the applications of metal DME pumps. The hygienic AISI 316L version with DIN 11851 connections is installed on stainless steel lines. For cleaning, a cleaning solution and then clean water are pumped through.
