HYGHSPIN Double Flow twin screw pump

HYGHSPIN Double Flow — the double-flow version of the hygienic HYGHSPIN twin screw pump for high differential pressures. Up to 50 bar in size 90DF, flow rate up to 180 m³/h in size 105DF. The manufacturer recommends it as the first choice for feeding heat exchangers and filtration systems.

How is HYGHSPIN Double Flow designed?

The pump has two external inlet ports and one central outlet. Two stages work in parallel and deliver the product to the centre, which gives a high flow rate.

The shaft is supported by bearings on both sides, so its deflection is controlled. The axial thrust from high pressure is balanced inside the pump.

The shaft seals are located on the suction side. They see only the inlet pressure, regardless of the discharge pressure. According to the manufacturer, the moderate load on components ensures a long service life.

The required NPSH of Double Flow is higher than that of the base HYGHSPIN: 1.5 m versus 0.5 m. This is taken into account when designing the suction line.

When to choose HYGHSPIN Double Flow?

a hygienic product must be pumped against more than 35 bar differential — the limit of the base HYGHSPIN;
the pump feeds a heat exchanger, for example Fischer, or a filter where line resistance is high;
a high flow rate is required at high pressure.

differential pressure at the duty point;
available NPSH at the inlet — it must exceed 1.5 m;
flow rate and product viscosity at operating temperature;
the equipment downstream — heat exchanger, filter, other;
required options: heating, vibration monitoring, ATEX.
