OMAC Series B Lobe Pump
OMAC Series B Lobe Pump is the core series of OMAC positive displacement lobe pumps made of AISI 316L stainless steel. The series includes 16 models with flow rates from 0.05 to 200 m³/h. The pumps handle food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and chemical products. Several special versions are available for Series B.
OMAC Series B lobe pump: which version to choose?
Series B is supplied in three versions. They differ in clearances, rotor material and permissible back pressure. The operating principle, materials and certificates common to all series are described on the OMAC brand page.

If the product must be pumped against a pressure of up to 20 bar, choose HP. The manufacturer does not state 3A certification for Series B. If it is required, choose Series BA-BB, developed from Series B.

The design is modular: rotors, seals and options can be added or replaced when operating conditions change.
What special versions does Series B offer?
- Aseptic. Sterile, steam or liquid barriers on the cover, shaft seals and ports. For aseptic packaging areas of food and pharmaceutical products.
- Enlarged inlet port. Rectangular suction opening for models B115, B220, B330, B440 and B490. For pastes and mixtures with pieces fed by gravity from a hopper.
- Jacketed casing and heated cover. For heating or cooling the product inside the pump.
- Mechanical seal flushing and hydraulic motor drive.
- Bypass. A relief valve in the cover of models B100–B550 protects against pressure peaks. An external valve can be fitted to all models.
- Pump units with drive — pump assembled with a motor.
For aggressive chemicals, the wetted parts are made of Hastelloy, titanium or Monel. This version can have ATEX II 2G kc TX certification and 3A or EHEDG hygienic certification.
Where is the OMAC Series B lobe pump used?
The manufacturer lists the food and beverage industry, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, the chemical industry and environmental applications. The rotors do not touch, so Series B is also suitable for abrasive liquids. For a compact unit with a flange-mounted motor, there is Series BE, and for the highest hygienic requirements, Series C.
