Ukrainian science is able to offer innovative solutions for pharmaceuticals and related industries. On 22 June, NTUU "KPI" hosted the conference "Science-Business: Biotechnology". A lot of interesting developments were presented
- automatic systems for collecting and processing biophysical data, which significantly speed up and reduce the cost of clinical trials of drugs. (Development of FEL NTUU "KPI");
- new devices and systems for monitoring ultra-low concentrations of substances, up to 1 ppb - IPPFB of the National Academy of Sciences;
- A system of distributed computing and modelling of complex molecules, which allows to reduce the cost of reagents tenfold - Institute of High Technologies of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv;
- the accelerator complex of the IPF of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which allows for microanalysis of substances;
- hydrogel wound dressings with chitosan - IPPFB of NAS of Ukraine.
Diego Di Lorenzo, a representative of NICOMAC, expressed interest in working with Ukrainian scientists, which opens up opportunities for cooperation in the production of high-tech equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, such as coasters, granulation lines, and clean boxes. After all, Ukrainian scientists have a great potential that can produce excellent results.
The Horizon 2020 programme for trilateral financing of innovative developments and the CRDFGlobal programme to support clinical trials of new drugs were also presented.
The event was initiated by Steiner-Ukraine, NTUU "KPI" and NICOMAC. In the future, such meetings will be held on a regular basis, which will allow for close contact between science and business.
