Split-case pumps: power and reliability for high flows

Separate casing pumps are centrifugal pumps with horizontally or vertically split casing designed for pumping large volumes of liquid with high efficiency. Their design provides for double suction, which allows liquid to enter the impeller from both sides, ensuring a stable flow with minimal stress on the components.

How it works:
The pump casing is split into two parts for easy maintenance, allowing access to internal components without dismantling the piping.

Main functions

  • A great serve: pumping large volumes of liquid - up to thousands of m³/h
  • Stable pressure: uniform pressure in the systems regardless of the operating mode
  • Energy efficiency: high efficiency due to symmetrical design
  • Durability: reduced axial load extends service life

The pumps comply with the international standards ISO 13709 or EN 733 (depending on the model), which guarantees their compatibility and reliability in various applications.

Areas of application

  • Water supply: city networks, water utilities
  • Industry: cooling systems at factories and power plants
  • Agriculture: irrigation of large areas, drainage
  • Heating and air conditioning: HVAC systems for heating networks
  • Fire extinguishing: pressure in fire protection systems
  • Water treatment: pumping liquids in filtration and treatment systems

Design features

  • Two-sided suction: reduces hydraulic losses and improves NPSH
  • Easy access: split housing simplifies maintenance and repair
  • High performance and efficiency: pumping hundreds or tens of thousands of liters per minute
  • Durability: body made of cast iron, stainless steel or bronze
  • Flexibility of installation: possibility of horizontal or vertical installation
  • Quiet work: reduced vibration and noise levels
  • Energy efficiency: Efficiency of more than 85-90%

How do I choose a pump with a split casing?

  • Type of liquid:
Assess chemical composition, temperature, and viscosity (water, wastewater, corrosive media)
  • Productivity:
Determine the required flow rate (m³/h) and head (m)
  • Materials:
    • Cast iron - for standard use
    • Stainless steel - for drinking water
    • Bronze - for seawater
  • Type of impeller:
    • Closed wheel for clean liquids
    • Semi-open - for liquids with light impurities
  • Installation conditions:
    • Horizontal models - for spacious technical rooms
    • Vertical models - for limited space
  • Additional options:
    • speed control
    • protection against dry running
    • explosion-proof design (ATEX)
