Equipment Nicomac allows the coating of sugar, organic or water-soluble films in the same machine, as well as the coating of tablets, lollipops, small tablets, granular products, from tiny sugar crystals to large tablets, without changing parts. The patented "Blow Master" coating drying system is a unique, highly efficient drying system that uses 100% process air that passes through the product load for perfect system performance. The air outlet is diverted to the opposite side of the system to prevent any air turbulence in the spray area and thus provides better air flow and high drying capacity. The drying flow is automatically directed to the middle of the plant according to the batch size, product shape and process phase. The Microlac Control System is an advanced, user-friendly software developed by Nicomac, PLC based on a control system that provides full automatic process repeatability. The user-machine interface with a computer touch screen for easy data acquisition and storage. The Microlac software allows for the storage of up to 40 different formulations and up to 99 discrete phases.

Patented Spray System - the stainless steel film coating and sugar guns combine a perfect mixing system and fast distribution of the solution over the walls of the drum. The guns do not clog. The special design of the pneumatic cylinder cover avoids this huge problem. The patented moving handle can be automatically controlled by an electric motor with the ability to adjust the position of the gun according to the requirements downloaded to the PC.

Humidity control - the main control process is based on the control of the closed loop temperature and the relative humidity of the air stream at the product outlet. Depending on the different applications, we have an algorithm for the correct process control. For temperature-sensitive products, the plant temperature is carefully monitored and controlled. The spraying ratio for film coating or the drying phase for sugar coating can be set based on the inlet/outlet humidity.

Patented THERMOJACKET System. In order to avoid heating dispersion on the outside of the drum, Nicomac has patented a new drying system, the THERMOJACKET. A part of the inlet air is directed to the Thermojacket system and it heats or cools the boiler drum from the outside, giving complete uniformity of the body temperature, reducing the heating dispersion, optimising the performance of the drying stage, reducing the process time.

Cleaning. As the units are not perforated, they can be quickly and easily cleaned with CIP (clean in place). The versatile installation with 4 spray heads located inside the equipment allows you to reach any point on the entire surface in combination with a flushing pump for highly efficient cleaning. The cleaning process is fast and efficient, even for enterosoluble shells and advanced film coatings such as Eudragit. The automatic rinsing cycle can be entered into the PC.

Automatic Drainage System - this patented system discharges the final product as well as the CIP wash liquid simply by rotating the drum using a magnetic, patented, quick-release discharge tray

Air Control - Nicomac systems use only an AC frequency controller to precisely control the inlet/outlet air flow without changing atmospheric pressure. The negative pressure inside the drum is automatically controlled by the programmable logic controller through the AC frequency control. This is a prerequisite for granulated products, enterosoluble shells and sugar coatings.
