Ferrarelle Società Benefit has partnered with Sidel to install its first aseptic line at the Boario plant to produce its Vitasnella 'Le Linfe' range of functional water and teas. With natural ingredients and a variety of flavours, the products have been designed with consumer well-being in mind, contributing to a 360-degree healthy lifestyle.
Ferrarelle Società Benefit, one of the largest mineral water producers in Italy, known for its unique properties of natural sparkling water, bottles Boario, Vitasnella and Fonte Essenziale mineral waters at its Boario plant. Located near the picturesque Lake Iseo, the plant obtains its water from the mountains adjacent to the factory. This strategic location allows Boario to produce uniquely bottled mineral water with health benefits.
Ferrarelle Società Benefit has chosen Sidel's Aseptic Combi Predis technology to produce its new range of functional water and teas. Sidel helped the company establish its aseptic technology to ensure a high-quality taste experience, product integrity and a long shelf life using its Predis™ dry preform disinfection solution - a safe, hygienic, efficient way to package a variety of sensitive beverages.
By installing Sidel's Aseptic Combi Predis for the production of the Vitasnella 'Le Linfe' product line, the Boario line can handle two different formats, 0.5 litres and 1.25 litres, and reaches 18,000 bottles per hour. This system ensures complete production sterility, beverage integrity and product safety with ease of use.
"Le Linfe functional waters and teas are extremely important to us and we wanted to avoid any potential risks. That's why we decided to turn to Sidel, given their extensive experience in aseptic technology," said Nicola Tignonsini, Director of Operations at Ferrarelle.
"As this is our only line that produces sensitive beverages, it was important that we had an aseptic system that could ensure the highest level of product safety and integrity," said Marcelo Astrini, plant manager at Boario. "We trusted Sidel to install our first aseptic line in the company due to their extensive experience in total food safety."
