Ferrarelle Società Benefit has partnered with Sidel to install its first aseptic line at the Boario plant for the production of its Vitasnella 'Le Linfe' range of functional water and teas. With natural ingredients and a variety of flavors, these products were designed with consumer well-being in mind, promoting a 360-degree healthy lifestyle.
Ferrarelle Società Benefit, one of Italy's largest mineral water producers, is renowned for the unique properties of its naturally sparkling water. At its Boario plant, the company bottles the mineral waters “Boario,” “Vitasnella,” and “Fonte Essenziale.” Located near the picturesque Lake Iseo, the plant sources its water from nearby mountains, a strategic location that enables Boario to produce uniquely bottled mineral water with wellness properties.
Ferrarelle Società Benefit chose Sidel's Aseptic Combi Predis technology for the production of its new range of functional water and teas. Sidel assisted the company in implementing its aseptic technology to ensure a high-quality taste experience, product integrity, and extended shelf life, using its Predis™ dry preform decontamination solution—a safe, hygienic, and efficient method for packaging a variety of sensitive beverages.
By installing Sidel's Aseptic Combi Predis for the production of the Vitasnella 'Le Linfe' product line, the Boario plant can handle two different formats, 0.5 liters and 1.25 liters, and achieves a production rate of 18,000 bottles per hour. This system ensures complete production sterility, beverage integrity, and product safety with ease of use.
“The functional waters and teas 'Le Linfe' are extremely important to us, and we wanted to avoid any potential risks. That’s why we decided to turn to Sidel, given their extensive experience in aseptic technology,” said Nicola Tignonsini, Operations Director at Ferrarelle.
“Since this is our only line producing sensitive beverages, it was essential for us to have an aseptic system that could guarantee the highest levels of safety and product integrity,” said Marcelo Astrini, Plant Manager at Boario. “We entrusted Sidel to install our first aseptic line in the company due to their extensive expertise in total food safety.”
