The ProMinent motor-driven metering pump<\/strong> is a diaphragm pump with an electric motor for metering chemicals in the medium flow range. The group includes eight models: alpha, Sigma Basic (S1Ba, S2Ba, S3Ba), Sigma X Control (S1Cb, S2Cb, S3Cb) and sigma Hygienic. Flow rate: 1.0 to 1,040 l\/h; back pressure: up to 16 bar.<\/p>\n

Why does the ProMinent motor-driven metering pump hold its flow rate when pressure fluctuates?<\/h2>\n

A worm gear reduces the motor speed, and a cam converts the rotation into a linear stroke. A push rod transmits the stroke to the diaphragm. This kinematics produces a rigid characteristic curve: the flow rate depends little on back-pressure fluctuations.
