The TMXFLOW gasketed plate heat exchanger transfers heat between two media through thin corrugated plates. The media flow in separate channels and do not mix.

The unit can be opened for inspection and cleaning. The number of plates can be increased or reduced when the load changes. The general working principle of plate heat exchangers is described on the page TMXFLOW – Heat Exchangers.

How is the TMXFLOW gasketed plate heat exchanger designed?

The plate pack is clamped with bolts between the fixed and movable frame plates. Each plate has a gasket that forms the channel and seals it.

The hot and cold media pass through alternate channels, mostly in counterflow. The plate corrugation creates turbulent flow, so heat transfer is effective even at a small temperature difference.
