Pump station KRAL EK \\\/ EL \u2014 a ready\u2011to\u2011connect unit for fuel supply systems to burners. Manufacturer \u2014 KRAL, Austria. On a common frame are assembled a triple\u2011screw pump, safety valve, filter, shut\u2011off and control valve. EK stations are built on series K pumps, EL stations \u2014 on series L pumps; this is the source of the difference in working pressure.<\/p>\n

What a ready\u2011made station provides compared with a separate pump<\/h2>\n

A separate pump \u2014 is the hydraulic part, to which on the site you still need to select a drive, coupling and over\u2011pressure protection. In an EK \\\/ EL station this set is already coordinated and factory\u2011tested: safety valve is set, filter and valve are selected for the calculated mode, measurement points are brought out externally. The savings here are not so much in installation as in the design stage of the coupling.<\/p>\n

How EK differs from EL<\/h2>\n

The only difference lies in the base pump and, consequently, in the operating pressure. The EK is based on K-series pumps<\/a> and operates at up to 6 bar \u2014 this is sufficient when the fuel flows from the supply tank to the burner via a short pipe without having to climb. The EL is based on L-series pumps<\/a> and withstands pressures of up to 40 bar \u2014 it is used when the circuit includes long pipework, an elevation, injectors or heat exchangers. The flow, temperature and viscosity ranges are the same for both product lines.<\/p>\n
