The Masdaf MiniUKM self-priming pump is a compact centrifugal pump designed for surface water and drainage water. It primes the suction line automatically, without the need for external priming. Operating range: flow rate 5\u201345 m\u00b3\/h, head 10\u201340 m, speed 3,000\u20133,600 rpm, fluid temperature 0\u201360 \u00b0C. DN 50 flanges at the inlet and outlet.<\/p>\n

What are the benefits of self-priming?<\/h2>\n

A standard centrifugal pump must be filled with liquid before start-up, and the suction line must be kept full \u2014 otherwise the pump will \u2018cavitate\u2019. A self-priming pump removes air from the line by itself and reaches operating conditions without any external intervention.<\/p>\n

In the MiniUKM, this is achieved by the design of the impeller, and the suction valve is built-in and does not require separate installation. In practical terms, this means that no non-return valve is required in the system \u2014 one less component and one fewer potential cause of failure.<\/p>\n

The pump is installed above the liquid level, so there is no need to submerge it in the sump or to drain the sump for maintenance.<\/p>\n
