Motor power from 0.37 to 15 kW.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">CSF hygienic pump: how do the CL and CLC models differ?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The series is available in two versions, and the difference between them lies in the type of impeller.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The CL has an open impeller with three blades. The open impeller allows products containing solids to pass through and is designed for pumping at low pressure. This version is used for juices, creams, ice cream, cream, milk, wine, spirits and whey.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The CLC has a closed impeller. A closed impeller offers higher efficiency and operates at medium to high pressures within the series, but requires a product free from solid particles. For this reason, the manufacturer positions this series for less demanding applications: those where there is neither high pressure, nor abrasive media, nor aggressive cleaning chemicals used in heavy-duty operation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The impeller is fitted directly onto the motor shaft \u2014 there is no separate bearing assembly or coupling. This reduces the overall dimensions, eliminates the need for alignment during installation and reduces the number of parts requiring maintenance.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Electropolishing of cast components and sheet metal polishing are of direct hygienic importance: a smooth surface does not trap product residues and can be cleaned in the CIP circuit without the need for dismantling.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Connections and sealing options<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The pump is supplied with connections complying with various standards: DIN, SMS, IDF, BS\/RJT, DS, CLAMP, as well as with EN 1092-1 PN 16 flanges. This allows the pump to be integrated into the existing pipework without adaptors, in accordance with the standard already in use at the production site.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The shaft seal is available in three versions. Single internal \u2014 the standard solution for non-crystallising products. Single external seal \u2014 where the product must not come into contact with the seal chamber. Double seal with flushing \u2014 for products that harden or polymerise on exposure to air, and where a barrier between the product and the environment is required.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The seal seating surfaces are manufactured in accordance with EN 12756 and ISO 3069; therefore, the replacement parts are standardised.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">CSF hygienic pump: certificates and materials in contact with the product<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The manufacturer states that the series is certified to EHEDG, 3-A and ATEX standards. EHEDG certifies the hygienic design \u2014 the absence of dead spaces and the ability to be cleaned in situ. 3-A certifies compliance with sanitary standards for the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries. ATEX certification applies to designs for potentially explosive atmospheres and complies with Directive 2014\/34\/EU. The specific set of documentation provided with the delivery is confirmed upon order.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Elastomers in contact with the product comply with FDA requirements and Regulation (EU) No 1935\/2004. The gasket material is selected to suit the product and the cleaning regime: NBR, EPDM or FPM\/FKM.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Where are the CL and CLC series CSF hygienic pumps used?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The manufacturer classifies this range as being for the food and drink industry.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Typical products include milk and cream, whey, juices, wine and spirits, creams and ice cream. Typical applications in the line include feeding to the pasteuriser, the cooler and the concentration filters, as well as circulation in wash circuits.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The temperature limit of +120 \u00b0C means that the pump operates in the hot-wash circuit as well, and not just with cold product.
