An additional separation impeller is built into the pump: it separates the gas from the medium whilst simultaneously returning the fibres to the flow, so that no fibres are lost.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The practical result is that a separate vacuum pump is not required. This removes one unit from the system, along with its power supply and maintenance requirements. Control of the degassing valve is limited to two states: when the pump is running, the valve is open; when the pump is stopped, it is closed.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Without degassing, gas accumulates in the centre of the impeller, the flow rate drops, the pump enters an unstable operating mode and seizes up.
